Our Carpet Cleaning Methods:100% Eco -Friendly
- Hot Water (Steam) Extraction (HWE)
- Low Moisture (LM) Cleaning
- Dry Compound Cleaning
- Spot Cleaning
This method is considered to be the industry standard for effective carpet cleaning – and is often referred to as ‘deep cleaning’. This is the method that ACS uses 85% of the time when carpet cleaning. HWE is also highly effective in the sanitization of carpet fibers: killing dust mites and gives a thorough ‘deep clean’ when combined with our ‘eco-friendly’ products.
This effective method (called ‘encapsulation ‘and or ‘bonnet’ cleaning) is best suited to low profile (wool fiber) carpets and those found in an office environment- but also a method that can be used in a domestic situation. The difference with this to HWE is that a ‘Rotary’ machine is used along with an absorbent pad (s), as opposed to an ‘Extraction’ type machine.
This type of cleaning could be considered equivalent to ‘dry cleaning’ by the use of specialist cleaning granules. It is used in situations where either the carpet fiber is very delicate or the situation requires that little or no water is used, e.g. Jacaranda Viscose carpets.
This method is somewhat like stain removal, although, it is sometimes called ‘traffic area’ cleaning; whereby, and using our HWE, we only clean the ‘small’ areas that require cleaning as opposed to the full carpet area, e.g the area around a bed, or the entry point (s) to a room (s) where the dirt is more noticeable. This method is an affordable option against the larger cost of a full carpet clean!
Pricing for carpet cleaning starts at £4.00pm2 (min. charge) for HWE. Note: that this will increase if you live further away, but in general, we would charge £15.00 up to a distance of 20 miles from Stirling.
Additional, more specialist cleaning types (LM, Dry Compound) will start at £6.00pm2.
Our Commercial carpet cleaning service starts at £6.00pm2.
Our Professional 11 Stage Cleaning Process:100% Eco -Friendly
Stage 1: Pre-Inspection
To make sure your carpets or furniture is cleaned correctly, we begin with a thorough pre-inspection. This involves you and the technician Identifying your carpet/upholstery fibers of the carpets/furniture in order to determine their pH and fiber type. This time also allows you to voice any queries and point out areas of concern.
Stage 2: Vacuuming
We will thoroughly vacuum all areas to be cleaned with our ‘best-in-class’ professional vacuuming machine in order to get rid of all loose soils. This stage is one that ALL professionals will carry out as it removes up to 80% of all soil particles prior to stage 4 commencement.
Stage 3: Move The Furniture.
To carry out proper carpet cleaning some or all of your furniture may need to be moved and additional vacuuming carried out. We will also use ‘tabs’ or ‘blocks’ to place under the legs of the furniture in order to protect against rust spots forming.
Stage 4: Pre-Stain Treatment & Pre-Conditioning.
Your carpets/upholstery will have a natural, ‘eco-friendly’ pre-spray applied that will assist in the suspension of the ingrained soil, dirt, and grime, which is particularly relevant in heavily-trafficked areas. In addition, we will pre-treat stained areas using an appropriate solution.
Stage 5: Pre-Groom/Agitation.
A carpet CRB (counter-rotating brush), gently scrubbing each fiber is used to pre-groom/agitate the pre-sprayed areas. Dependent on the particular level of soiling, a dwell time of between 10-20 mins will be followed to allow the pre-spray solution to suspend all the dirt particles.
Stage 6: Rinse & Extraction.
During this stage, we will begin the HWE (Hot water extraction) extraction process by thoroughly rinsing out your carpet/upholstery. This will involve the strict regulation of penetrating steam deep into the carpet pile which is then powerfully removed via suction to make sure that all soil, dirt, and grime are extracted and your carpets/upholstery do not become too wet.
The carpets are then rinsed with a pH balanced product that prevents any sticky residue from being left behind.
Stage 7: Post Cleaning Treatment.
Occasionally, stains will not come out during the main cleaning stage! We then use special stain cleaning techniques to ensure that all of the unwanted stains are extracted (where possible) out of the carpet/upholstery.
Stage 8: Protection Treatment (Additional Cost).
Carpets and upholstery protected with stain protectors last longer, clean up easier and stay clean twice as long as there unprotected counterparts. This application requires up to a 24-hour curing period and is provided at an additional cost.
Stage 9: The Speed Drying Process.
Should it be deemed necessary, we now deploy our Turbo Speed Dryers in order to help speed up the drying process – this is particularly relevant where there is high humidity and on some wool fibred carpets.
Stage 10: Post Clean Grooming.
During this stage, we clean up and move your furniture back into position, being mindful of making sure all furniture legs have tabs placed underneath to prevent rust spots forming. We then inspect all cleaned areas so that anything that we have missed during the initial cleaning is addressed.
Stage 11: Customer’s Walk Through Inspection.
In this final stage, we walk you (the customer) through your home or office wearing booties in order that you can inspect our work and that you are completely satisfied with the cleaning.
