OVERVIEW The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which applies from 25 May 2018 is included in this Privacy Notice. In particular, it deals with the following rights for individuals:

  • the right to be informed;
  • the right of access;
  • the right to rectification;
  • the right to erasure;
  • the right to restrict processing;
  • the right to data portability;
  • the right to object; and
  • the right not to be subject to automated decision-making including profiling.

SECTION 1 – WHAT WE HOLD AND WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR DATA? When you contact Acleanerplace Cleaning Services (ACS) as part of the purchasing of our service, we collect the personal data (information) you give us such as your name, address, telephone number and email address. This information is collected in order to re-contact you, the customer, and determine your service requirements.  If you then decide to purchase a service, your information is retained until the service carried out by ACS; thereafter your information is deleted from our computer system.

Having made an email enquiry and you do not purchase a service from ACS your information is deleted from our systems. Email marketing: ACS does not participate in email marketing. What information is being collected? The only information collected by ACS, as provided by you, is your email address, Name, and telephone number.  Who is collecting it? The information is collected by the owner of ACS, Tom Wright.

How is it collected? The information is collected by a. The ACS website’s ‘Contact Us’ page, b. By telephone (customer-initiated) and c. Facebook’s messenger service. Why is it being collected? The information is collected solely for the purpose of re-contacting you in order to ascertain your service requirements to be provided by ACS. How will it be used? Your information is used to re-contact you and latterly, if you purchase (contract) a service, to provide details to travel to your location and re-contact you in the event of a communications problem/delay etc.

Who will it be shared with? All information collected on you, in as much as your email address, Name, address and telephone number is not shared to any third-party and is retained solely for the use of ACS by way of re-contacting you (the customer) in order to ascertain your service requirement (s). What will be the effect of this on the individuals concerned? The effect of this to customers of ACS will be minimal. You will be happy to know that all information, as stated above, will only be used for its intended purpose (contacting) and will be destroyed on the completion of any service provided by ACS. Is the intended use likely to cause individuals to object or complain? None are foreseen.

SECTION 2 – CONSENT How do you get my consent? When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card for a service, we imply that you consent to our collecting is necessary for the performance of a contract” between ACS and you (the customer). If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

How do I withdraw my consent? You have the right to withdraw your consent and if after you opt-in, and you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at any time, by contacting us at info@acleanerplace.co.uk or telephoning us at 01786 817401.

SECTION 3 – DISCLOSURE We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

SECTION 4 – HOSTING/PAYMENTS Payment: If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your service, then Secure Trading stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your service transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

SECTION 5 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES In general, we do not have third-party providers that use our service website and therefore access to your information. However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers. In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located. Once you leave our website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service. Hyperlinks When you click on a hyperlink on our website they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

SECTION 6 – SECURITY To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. If at the point of purchase by credit card and you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with AES-256 encryption.  Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards. COOKIES This website makes minimal use of cookies. The only cookie currently in use is used to support analysis and understanding of how people use the website (what they like most, when is the busiest time of day on the site, have people found new content when it is published, etc.). We perform this analysis to help us improve the usage and effectiveness of the website. The data collection and reporting behind this analysis is currently provided by Google Analytics.
